When I choose to take the Early Payout, the dealer keeps dealing the cards for the other online players, including the players at the Fitzwilliam Card Club and Casino ®, but my bet is suspended. Instead, I receive an Early Payout. Basically, this option can be used when you are not sure you can beat the live dealer at the hand. So you can take the Early Payout which means you don’t loose all of the money originally bet. Of course you do take a chance on not winning the hand. Since the dealer keeps dealing the cards you can actually see if you made the right decision. Trust me, it is frustrating to see when you take the wrong decision, but at least you don’t feel like a complete looser!

Lucky Live Casino calculates the Early Payout by what the calculated outcome of the game will be, taking into consideration my hand and the live online dealers “up” hand. As you may have already presumed this live blackjack version allows many players to participate at one time, but the dealer still only needs to deal for three different hands. It is very ingenious!

Another advantage is the chance to bet on not only one hand of Blackjack, but two or three at one time! They make it simple to play all three hands at once, if we choose to, because the sum of the cards dealt appears in a small box above the cards on the table. The sum is adjusted every time the live dealer deals a new card. So, it is easy to keep track and make a decision on how to proceed with the hand(s). I could not play more than one hand at once in the beginning because the game advances pretty quickly, and because it is live Blackjack I can’t simply tell everyone else participating to “hold on” while I figure this one out. So, in the beginning I recommend playing one hand at a time until you are sure you can handle the speed of the game. Be careful once you win a hand because once you do you have to manually take your original bet(s) off the card table if you don’t want to continue the next online bet. If you do not do this, your bet will ride in the next hand just like in a real bricks and mortar casino. I actually lost some money because I was celebrating the fact I had just won. Before I knew it my previous bet was lost because I let it ride to the next round when I wasn’t paying attention. So, I basically lost the money I had previously won. Ups!

Doppelgänger, an Optional Side Bet

Now, as I mentioned earlier there are three different types of side bets. The Pure DG, the Colored DG and the Mixed DG. The Pure Doppelgänger is when the first two cards dealt to your hand are the same suit and value. For example, two Diamond Aces.

The Colored Doppelgänger is when the first two cards dealt to your hand are the same color and value, but they are not the same suit. For example, a 10 of clubs and a 10 of spades.

The Mixed Doppelgänger is when the first two cards dealt to you are the same value, but they are a different suit and a different color. For example, one 7 of spades and one 7 of hearts.
